Malacanang urges public to report corrupt government workers.

Who else can have the audacity of reporting corruption in government if it would only mean dismissal from the service just like what happened to the former BIR Director Othello Dalanon who was sacked for reporting BIR DULAY CORRUPTION to President Duterte and senator Bong Go?

Dalanon was PRRD’s appointee as Director 1 in the Bureau of Internal Revenue assigned to the Office of the Commissioner where he discovered and exposed the worst corruption ever in BIR history involving the highest-ranking official of the agency BIR commissioner Caesar Rivera Dulay himself - in the extremely anomalous settlement of Cosmos’s P3.76 billion deficiency tax liabilities for only P51 million which the Court of Tax Appeals, in its Final Resolution (CTA Case No. 9405 dated 25May17), ruled as invalid.

The said CTA final resolution states, among other things, that -

1️⃣Cosmos’s P3.76 billion deficiency tax liabilities has become final, executory and demandable;
2️⃣BIR's settlement for only P51 million, during the pendency of Cosmos’s Petition for Review with the CTA, was invalid; and
3️⃣The Amended FDDA (Final Decision on Disputed Assessment) bearing on the grossly reduced amount of only P51 million, was without the approval of the Bureau’s Evaluation Board.

Dalanon reported this anomaly to President Duterte on -

✅13 February 2018, thru the then Special Assistant to the President (SAP), now senator Bong Go. Dalanon’s report was duly-stamped received in the Presidential Management Staff Office in Malacanang, Manila; and

✅08 February 2019, thru Malacanang Records Management Office.

❇️On 25 June 2019, he was dismissed instead.
